Read the text in the category Heucheras, Heucherellas and Tiarellas for general information about the Tiarella.
The Tiarella ‘Appalachian Trail’ has a trailing habit as you might suspect from the name. It grows long stems that spread above the ground. The leaves are green with dark red variegation along the veins.
The bloom is not very abundant but for a long period. The plant in these photos grows in full shade.
This Tiarella tolerates quite a bit of drought, better than the Tiarella ‘Pink Bouquet’.
