A shrub or bush is a woody plant that has multiple stems from the ground or close to the ground. This is why shrubs and bushes generally are shorter than trees. The maximum height is about 10 to 13 feet (3 to 4 meters). Some say there is a difference between a shrub and a bush, but that difference is very small. That is why I use the terms "shrub" and "bush" interchangeably.
