Read the text in the category Hostas for general information about Hostas.

The Hosta ‘Sizzle’ is a sport from an ‘Atom Smasher’ seedling. It is a small Hosta with narrow leaves that are light green with a dark green margin in spring. During the year the leaf centers turn yellow. The leaves reach a height of about 6 inches (15 cm). In the summer the non-fragrant lilac flowers grow on 12 inches (30 cm) high stems. The growth speed is average and the Hosta ‘Sizzle’ grows well in total shade.

In my garden the leaves start appearing end of February/ beginning of March.
