Read the text in the category Heucheras, Heucherellas and Tiarellas for general information about the Tiarella.
The Tiarella ‘Appalachian Trail’ has a trailing habit as you might suspect from the name. It produces long stems that spread above the ground. The leaves are green with dark red variegation along the veins.
The bloom is not very abundant but it lasts for a long time. The plant in these photos is growing in full shade.
This Tiarella tolerates quite a bit of drought, better than the Tiarella 'Pink Bouquet'.
